Can Flex pipettes detect liquid levels?

Yes, Flex pipettes contain pressure sensors for detecting liquid level. These sensors are included in channels A1 and H12 of 96-channel pipettes, and in the outermost channels (1 and 8) of 8-channel pipettes.

Has pipette installation/removal been improved?

Yes, this installation/removal process is now guided by a touchscreen display on the deck. Through optimization, customers can load/unload pipettes more easily and achieve better alignment.

Do Opentrons Flex multichannel pipettes have independent aspiration volume control?

Opentrons Flex 8-channel and 96-channel pipettes aspirate and dispense with all channels aspirating or dispensing the same volume of liquid. Aspiration volume cannot be controlled independently across channels.

Can I use OT-2 pipettes and tips with Opentrons Flex?

OT-2 pipettes and OT-2 pipette tips are not compatible with Opentrons Flex. OT-2 pipette tip cones and Flex pipette tip cones are constructed differently and are not cross-compatible. OT-2 tip boxes/refills are also not compatible with the Flex.
