It has two specifications: single channel and 8 channels, and can be mounted on OT-2 at the same time. Cleaning and disinfection steps (be careful not to disinfect by spraying) When we clean the pipette, do not disassemble the pipette, and do not disinfect the pipette by spraying, because That can damage electronic equipment. Cleaning steps: When the pipette is connected to the robot, turn off the pipette power, then pull the pipette down and wipe it gently. Be careful not to clean the electronic components on the pipette. NOTE: Do not use acetone when cleaning straws. Acetone will permanently damage your pipette! ABS plastic is very sensitive to acetone. Do not use 100% ethanol or 100% methanol when disinfecting pipettes (70%-90% alcohol is recommended for disinfection).<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>2. Parts that can be wiped with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 1) Pipette body 2) Injector 3) Nozzle 4) Pipette cap 5) Pipette shell Note: Bleach can be used to clean GEN 2 pipettes pipettes, but cannot be used to clean GEN 1 pipettes.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>3. Cleaning methods for pipette shell contamination. If your pipette is contaminated by a known substance, targeted disinfection and cleaning work must be carried out according to the type of substance. If your pipettes are cross-contaminated, taking the routine cleaning and maintenance steps described above is not enough. In case of cross-contamination, please contact your account manager for support and assistance. 1) The contaminant is an aqueous solution. You can use distilled water or 70% ethanol to rinse the contaminated part at room temperature of 60\u00b0F. 2) The pollutant is an organic solvent. Let the substance evaporate by itself or soak in detergent, and then air dry naturally. 3) The contaminants are radioactive substances, so the pipette needs to be placed in a solution like Decon, then rinsed and air-dried naturally. 4) If the contaminant is protein, the contaminated part needs to be washed with detergent, rinsing and air drying. Do not use alcohol for cleaning. 5) If the contaminant is nucleic acid, it needs to be rinsed in glycine\/HCI buffer (PH 2) for 10 minutes, then rinsed with distilled water, and then air dried naturally.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>4. Cleaning methods for contamination inside the pipette: Using a straw with a filter element can prevent contamination inside the pipette. However, if the inside of the pipette is contaminated, do not immediately disassemble the inside of the pipette for cleaning. If the inside of the pipette is contaminated, the contamination should be removed as follows: 1) Use a manual pipette or syringe to inject a small amount of cleaning solution into the pipette reservoir. 2) Swirl the cleaning solution around and let it air dry.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>5.
