NGS library preparation

NGS library preparation is one of the most common automated applications for the OT-2 automated pipetting platform. It automates not only NGS library preparation, but also other steps of the pre-sequencing workflow, including reagent dispensing, bead cleanup, sample concentration normalization, and pooling. You can use your own protocol, or choose from our online protocol library a protocol that has been validated by the Opentrons scientific team in similar applications or a protocol provided by a major reagent brand currently on the market.

    Out of the box, the OT-2 can support any automation-compatible, ANSI/SLAS-compliant orifice plate, as well as a wide variety of EP tubes and screw-cap centrifuge tubes, including centrifuge tubes with volumes up to 50 mL. You can view all supported labware in our labware library.

  • Do I need to know programming knowledge to use OT-2?
